Graduated in Journalism from UFRJ, in 1990, he works in the areas of photojournalism and text. He worked as a photo reporter for the newspaper O Globo between 1998 and 2011, when he was Assistant Editor of Photography. He curated the show "Without subtitles",

in Caixa Cultural, with the best photos published by the newspaper O Globo in 2014 and presented in video format. The exhibit was

exhibited as a complement to the exhibition of World Press Photo 2015 winning images.
He was a finalist for the Esso Prize of 2010 and the CNT of 2002. He is currently responsible for the blog of the International Festival

of Photography Paraty in Focus and acts as a freelancer for the sites Project Collaboration and Museum of Pelada.
